Adjustable speed surface subdivision
نویسندگان
چکیده
We introduce a non-uniform subdivision algorithm that partitions the neighborhood of an extraordinary point in the ratio σ : 1 − σ, where σ ∈ (0, 1). We call σ the speed of the non-uniform subdivision and verify C continuity of the limit surface. For σ = 1/2, the Catmull-Clark limit surface is recovered. Other speeds are useful to vary the relative width of the polynomial spline rings generated from extraordinary nodes.

Parameterized Adaptive Multidimensional Integration Routines (PAMIR): Localization by Repeated 2^p Subdivision
This book draft gives the theory of a new method for p dimensional adaptive integration by repeated 2^p subdivision of simplexes and hypercubes. A new method of constructing high order integration routines for these geometries permits adjustable samplings of the integration region controlled by user supplied parameters. An outline of the programs and use instructions are also included in the dr...
متن کاملRealtime Loop subdivision on the GPU (poster 0223)
Recently, [1] showed that, in principle, all major features of subdivision algorithms can be realized in the framework of highly parallel stream processing. The authors tested the approach by implementing Catmull-Clark subdivision, with semi-smooth creases and global boundaries, in programmable graphics hardware, at nearrealtime speed. Here, we report on adapting the approach to Loop subdivisio...
متن کاملA Physics-Based Framework for Subdivision Surface Design with Automatic Rules Control
The recent non-uniform subdivision approach extends traditional uniform subdivision schemes with variable rules, offering additional shape parameters (such as knot spacings) for feature control. Despite its flexibility, shape modification based on non-uniform subdivision usually requires designers to interactively adjust a large number of degrees of freedom (DOFs) to achieve the desired shapes,...
متن کاملA Research about Adaptive Subdivision Algorithm Based On Doo- Sabin Mode
Subdivision surface method is a series of iterative operation adopts a certain subdivision formula for an initial grid, obtains the smooth limits surface finally, and can dispose any arbitrary complex topology grid. At present most of the subdivision algorithm are 1-4 subdivisions and as the number of subdivision increase, the grid grow so toorapid in the number of patch that it is difficult fo...
متن کاملA Novel MRAS Based Estimator for Speed-Sensorless Induction Motor Drive
In this paper, a novel stator current based Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) estimator for speed estimation in the speed-sensorless vector controlled induction motor drives is presented. In the proposed MRAS estimator, measured stator current of the induction motor is considered as a reference model. The estimated stator current is produced in an adjustable model to compare with the measu...
